Thousand shades….

My fellows already wrote some observations about studies so I will just briefly write my point of view…

Study programme is designed quite well. After your arrival you have plenty of time to adapt. New environment, university life, campus life, big city life. Courses will help you to interact with classmates and other new people who are coming all over the world. Group tasks, face to face chatting and solving problems together. You will get the chance to share your research ideas with professionals and their feedbacks are very useful. I have to say, I like the way the courses are held. Giving you the opportunity to develop your critical thinking, to apply your own experiences and exchange your knowledge with other scholars. Type of examination is something new for me. I would rather have oral exams where you can express your thoughs different way, and also exchange arguments with scholars rather than describing issues in form of essays. Anyway, the most important is to find yourself and do not panic even you think that there is sometimes too much on your shoulders. Studying Finnish language is funny even the language itself seems difficult. When you learn basic finnish your integration process is going to be just easier. Campus is part of the city. You get to know the city quite fast. Your tutor will take you around. If you do not like the city so much do not worry, nature is waiting for you just behind the corner.

I fell in love with nature around Jyväskylä. I am sure you will love it too. The city of Jyväskylä offers you every shade of colours. Whether you do have your favourite colour or not yet, here you can definitely find one. Just go for a walk or jog around one of the lakes and your sight captures hundreds of shades of blue (when you walk around the lakes), thousand shades of yellow (if watching sunsets over the lakes), and billion shades of green (while there is not snow on the trees and plants yet).

when walking to the university

Fall is lovely. I decided to walk to university to get a bit more time to enjoy the beauties of Finnish autumn. It takes me approximately 20 minutes. I am seeing the nature painting masterpieces the famous Da Vinci, Picasso, Monet, Van Gogh, Dali…could not captured even they were pretty talented. Just look at the pics.

you can see on the way

I hope one day, or maybe already next year you are here and we can share this stunning beauty with you. You are more than welcome here! Come as soon as possible!
